Governance: The Medical Director and Nursing and AHP Director lead safeguarding, supported by the Governance Coordinator.
Board Assurance: Regular audits confirm compliance with safeguarding responsibilities, including Section 11 of the Children Act.
Staff Accountability: All staff understand their duty to report and act on safeguarding concerns.
Information Sharing & Confidentiality: Symphony recognises that sharing relevant information is vital to safeguarding children and adults at risk. This is always balanced with the need to maintain confidentiality, ensuring that information is shared lawfully, proportionately, and only with those who need to know.
Staff Safety: Symphony is committed to safeguarding its staff while they carry out their duties. Staff must not be subjected to physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse. Systems are in place to support staff wellbeing and respond to any incidents of harm or threat.
